Porta de Lisboa
Porta de Lisboa is an ongoing photography project documenting the doors of Lisbon. With more than 2,000 photos published, you can explore the full project on its dedicated website.

In 2020, I started a long-term photography project documenting doors across Lisbon. What began as something to do during daily walks during the pandemic quickly grew into an ongoing visual exploration of the city, and today the project includes more than 2,000 photographed doors from many different neighbourhoods.
Porta de Lisboa reveals a surprising variety of colours, textures, and architectural details. From ornate historic entrances to weathered wooden doors hidden in narrow streets, each photograph reflects a small piece of the city’s character and history. By photographing these everyday elements, the project creates a visual archive of Lisbon’s urban identity and the unique personality of its streets.
The project is still evolving as I continue to explore new areas of the city and discover doors that might otherwise go unnoticed. You can explore the full collection and learn more about the project on its dedicated website.
